Lytham Says Hy To New Five-Star Hotel

A brand new five-star apartment-style hotel has opened for business in Lytham St Annes.

Representing an investment of £4 million, the new aparthotel, which is called the Hy Hotel, will be managed by Black And White Hospitality.

Creating 20 new jobs, the development of the property, which has included much of the original building’s Victorian features, was overseen by local business people Dan and Julia Yates. Previously known as The Ashton Park Hotel, which closed in 2018, it was also known locally as The Langdales Hotel.

Comprising of 35 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment-style rooms, with round-the-clock concierge services, the Hy Hotel also has a luxury leisure offering including a fitness centre kitted out by Technogym (a world leader in wellness and fitness), a pool, sauna and steam room that is open to guests and local residents on a membership basis.

A new celebrity chef branded restaurant and bespoke spa are set to open later in 2020 while an on-site pantry hub with Starbucks coffee is available for hotel guests, leisure members and local residents.

Shezan Aslam, managing director of Black and White Hospitality Management said: “The Hy Hotel is an experience that’s both luxurious and homely. It combines the space and freedom of a self-catering apartment but with the benefits of a 24-hour concierge team that will be on hand to sort out any requests, whatever the time of day. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and home where both leisure and business travellers will find the perfect respite from today’s busy lifestyles.

“It’s superbly located for those looking to explore the fantastic Lancashire coastline and the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, which has staged 11 Open Championships and two Ryder Cups, is just around the corner so is great for golfers. Blackpool is just six miles down the road.

“Its rooms are beautifully appointed while the specification and layout mean it can host a range of parties from just one person or up to eight people so it is great for solo travellers or family groups. We will now work closely with the hotel’s owners to maximise its all-round operation, revenue and profitability.”

Specialising in the management of both branded and independent hotels, Black and White Hospitality Management’s portfolio spans from limited service hotels through to luxury full-service hotels with conferencing, events, health clubs, spas and restaurants.

Working alongside some of the world's leading brands it includes the InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton Worldwide and Marco Pierre White.
